01

What FitCheck Duo provides

FitCheck provides fitness tracking, progress tools and AI-assisted coaching based on information you choose to enter or connect. Tim may generate training plans, nutrition targets, meal ideas, check-in feedback, progress-photo observations, chat replies, voice notes and AI video reviews.

FitCheck can also be used by a human coach. That coach may use AI to prepare a private draft, but is responsible for reviewing and personalising anything they publish to a client. A coach-branded plan, message or voice note is coaching from that coach, not medical advice or a guarantee by FitCheck.

The service is educational and motivational. It does not create a clinician-patient, dietitian-client, physiotherapist-patient or other regulated professional relationship.

02

Not medical diagnosis or treatment

FitCheck and Tim do not diagnose, prevent, monitor or treat disease or injury. Do not use FitCheck instead of advice from your GP, pharmacist, registered dietitian, physiotherapist, mental-health professional or another appropriately qualified practitioner.

  • Seek professional advice before beginning a new programme if you have a medical condition, injury, concerning symptoms, are pregnant or recently gave birth, take medication affected by diet or activity, or are unsure whether exercise is suitable.
  • Do not delay seeking medical help because of something shown or said by FitCheck.
  • Do not change prescribed medication or treatment based on FitCheck output.
  • FitCheck does not monitor messages for emergencies or guarantee an immediate response.
03

Exercise safety

Exercise has inherent risks, including fatigue, falls, strains and more serious injury. You are responsible for choosing a safe environment, appropriate equipment, suitable loads and correct technique.

Stop and seek advice

Stop exercising if you experience unusual pain, dizziness, faintness, severe breathlessness, new swelling, loss of coordination or symptoms that worry you.

Emergency symptoms

Call 999 for life-threatening symptoms such as sudden persistent chest pain, signs of a heart attack or stroke, collapse or severe breathing difficulty.

Progress gradually

Do not treat a generated set, repetition, load, pace or volume as compulsory. Reduce or stop activity when needed.

Use qualified support

Ask a qualified coach or clinician to assess technique, injury concerns or specialist needs that an app cannot safely evaluate.

04

Nutrition, food weights and allergies

Calories, macros, portions, food weights and meal plans are estimates. Food labels, recipes, preparation methods and individual requirements vary.

  • You are responsible for checking ingredients, allergens, expiry dates, food safety and suitability.
  • Do not rely on Tim to identify an allergen, intolerance, interaction or nutritional deficiency.
  • Seek advice from a registered dietitian or clinician for allergies, eating disorders, diabetes, kidney disease, pregnancy, gastrointestinal disease or other clinical nutrition needs.
  • Do not follow a target that causes persistent weakness, dizziness, distress, excessive hunger or other concerning symptoms.
05

AI limitations

Tim uses artificial intelligence. AI can misunderstand information, overlook context, produce inconsistent answers or confidently state something inaccurate.

  • Tim cannot physically examine you, verify technique, confirm food intake or independently validate your measurements.
  • Chat responses are generated from available context and may not include every relevant part of your history.
  • A natural-sounding voice does not make the information more clinically reliable.
  • A lifelike video of Tim is AI-generated and does not mean a human coach has personally watched, approved or recorded the review.
  • Always use your judgement and verify important information with an appropriate professional.
  • Human review reduces but does not remove the limitations of AI-generated drafts; coaches must work within their competence and refer clients to qualified healthcare professionals when appropriate.
06

Period and cycle estimates

The Cycle Tracker uses dates and settings supplied by the user to show a broad estimate of cycle day and phase. Menstrual cycles vary, and calendar calculations cannot confirm ovulation, fertility, pregnancy or the reason for a late or irregular period.

  • Do not use FitCheck as contraception or to decide when unprotected sex is safe.
  • Do not use an estimated phase as proof that training performance, mood, appetite or recovery must change.
  • Tim is instructed to prioritise logged symptoms, recovery, preferences and actual progress rather than making assumptions from cycle phase alone.
  • Seek medical advice for severe pain, very heavy bleeding, fainting, pregnancy concerns, sudden persistent changes or anything that worries you.
07

WHOOP, Strava, MyFitnessPal and connected information

Wearable scores, activity measurements and imported nutrition totals are estimates produced from information held by the connected provider. Missing data, delayed syncing, incomplete food logging, serving-size errors, sensor fit, firmware, illness, environment and other factors can affect them.

Recovery, strain, sleep, heart rate, pace, power and similar values should support—not replace—how you feel and any professional advice. A high score or fast activity does not prove that intense exercise is safe, and a low score or slower session is not a diagnosis.

08

Progress photos and exercise form checks

Photo comparisons can be affected by lighting, posture, camera angle, distance, clothing, hydration and time of day. Tim’s visual comments are subjective observations, not medical or body-composition measurements.

Exercise form feedback is produced from sampled still frames and can miss speed, force, balance, subtle joint movement, pain, fatigue, equipment problems and details outside the camera view. It cannot certify that an exercise is safe or replace an in-person assessment by a qualified coach or clinician.

Use progress photos in a way that supports your wellbeing. Stop or seek support if tracking causes significant anxiety, compulsive behaviour, disordered eating or harmful body-image concerns.

09

No guaranteed result or timeline

Every person responds differently to training and nutrition. Genetics, health, adherence, sleep, stress, medication, measurement error and many other factors affect progress.

Projected dates, rates of weight change, physique outcomes, performance gains and milestones are estimates. We do not promise that you will achieve a particular weight, appearance, level of fitness or result within a stated period.

10

Your responsibility

You decide whether to follow any suggestion and remain responsible for exercising safely, choosing suitable food, providing accurate information and obtaining professional advice where needed.

Nothing in this disclaimer excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded. Our contractual responsibilities are explained in the Terms & Conditions.
