Community Terms & Guidelines
Friendly competition works when everyone feels safe, respected and in control of what they share.
Your community profile
The FitCheck Community is optional and separate from your main FitCheck account. You must choose a unique community username and accept these rules before appearing on any community or friends-group leaderboard.
Do not use a username that impersonates someone else, reveals another person’s personal information, infringes rights or contains hateful, threatening, sexual or abusive wording.
What other members can see
- Public tables show only your community username and your selected seven-day result.
- Friends-group members can see the same information within groups you join, even when public leaderboards are switched off.
- Actual weight, starting weight, email address, real name, photos, notes, recovery and health scores are never displayed on leaderboards.
- You choose which of running, cycling, training, percentage weight loss, steps and most-active categories you enter.
- The most-active board shows only a capped points total. It does not reveal which private features, check-ins or conversations you used.
- Private activities from supported connected services are excluded where the service marks them private.
Fair play
Only record genuine activities and measurements. Do not fabricate, duplicate or manipulate data, use another person’s activity, or deliberately exploit an integration to change a ranking. FitCheck may remove clearly invalid results, temporarily hide an account or ask for clarification where misuse is suspected.
Steps are taken only from completed daily check-ins, with one entry per member per day. FitCheck accepts no more than 50,000 steps for one day and caps the eligible seven-day leaderboard score at 250,000 steps. Most-active points use daily limits for each qualifying feature; opening, refreshing or repeatedly spamming a feature does not produce unlimited points.
Respect, health and safety
Encouragement is welcome; humiliation, harassment, bullying, discrimination, unwanted contact and pressure around weight, food or exercise are not. Do not treat a leaderboard as medical guidance or encourage unsafe restriction, overtraining or exercise through injury.
Do not copy, screenshot or republish another member’s community result outside its intended group without their permission.
Friends groups
Friends groups are private to their members. Group owners control invitations and membership and may remove members. Invitation links and codes should be shared only with people intended for the group. A group may contain up to 100 active members.
Moderation and reports
FitCheck may remove usernames, results, memberships or groups that breach these rules, threaten safety, interfere with the service or expose another person’s information. Serious or repeated misuse may affect the underlying FitCheck account. Contact the address in the main Privacy Policy if you need to report a concern.
Changing your mind
You can switch off public participation, change selected categories, leave friends groups or deactivate your community profile. Group owners must delete any active group before leaving the community. Deactivation hides the profile from new leaderboard calculations without deleting the underlying private fitness records in your main account.
